Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I have recently been put on Xarelto . I am on insulin , metoprolol, and lisinopril. I want to also take garcinia cambogia for weight loss. It has help me in the past to lose weight. I workout at a gym and walk a lot but I need to know if I can take the garcinia cambogia to.
It is not safe to take it while taking treatment for diabetes and high BP. Garcinia cambogia if taken along with insulin, metoprolol and lisinopril may cause harmful interactions hence it should not be taken while taking these medications.
Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
Regards,
Dr. Mohammed Taher Ali, General & Family Physician
