Can Daliresp Cause Tremors In The Hand?

my husband is taking Daliresp for COPD he has begun to have tremors in his right hand. Asked the pulmonologists about it and he said was not Daliresp. In the information; it says tremors can be a side effect. What is your opinion. I have looked up Parkinson but other than tremors he has no symptoms of that. He has prostate cancer and is being treated by the seeds but needs the Daliresp for the COPD. Works so well.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello,

Your husband has a history of COPD. Daliresp does cause serious side effects like tremors, palpitations, depression, etc.

You need to inform your treating doctor immediately so that the dose can be monitored or some better substitute medicine can be given so that tremors stop.

If the shaking/tremor continues he should be examined by a neurologist & nerve conduction tests, nerve biopsy done to avoid any developing Peripheral Neuropathy.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Take care

Regards,
Dr Nupur K, General & Family Physician
