Can Benadryl Be Taken For Itching On The Leg?

I had a knee replacement a month ago. I still have very swollen leg. Sometimes it seems to be going down, but then I feel it filling up with liquid and the pressure becomes horrible. I take 600 mg of ibuprophen 3 x s a day. Can I take Benedryl for itching feet or will it make leg swell more?

Thanks for the query. I understand your concern.
Please avoid self medication. .Swelling of foot & leg is common after knee replacement surgery. It mostly resolves after 3 months of surgery. Swelling of foot resolves after walking starts.
In case it is accompanied by pain / it does not resolve in given time , you need a full evaluation for the cause.. by consulting operating surgeon..
For itching you can use local steroid ointment ( allergic rash ) / anti fungal skin ointment Fungal infection with typical rash , discoloration & itching.
For oral medicines examination of the part by a doctor is essential.
