Can Althea Be Taken As An Emergency Contraceptive Pill?
Hi, i had protected sex using condom on my 22nd day from the start of the menstruation cycle. Im not sure if i am fertile or not.. There were no available morning pills here at my place neither nordette. Is althea can use a emergency pills by just taking more dose same as nordette?

Althea is a 21 day combined oral contraceptive which cannot be used as emergency contraception. You should not take more than intended dose of Althea.
You should take Plan B (levonorgestrol 1.5 mg) within 72 hours of unprotected intercourse.
