Cabn I Take Half Tablet Of Lisinop/hctz 20-25 As Taking Full Tab Is Lowering The BP, Hair Fall And Dizziness?

PCP prescribed lisinop/hctz 20-25. My blood pressure measured anywhere from 149-159/80-90. My hair started falling out and it made me really dizzy. It lowered my P to 125/70. I called to speak to PCP and she was no longer there. (a common occurance at this office). I want to know if I can cut tab in half. I can't afford to go to PCP just to have my question answered and I have no insurance. I am a 60 year old female with no other health issues that I know of.

Hello
I think you have to continue the prescribed drug as it is because your BP at present is 125/70mmhg which is under control due to the drug.
This amount of blood pressure does not cause dizziness as it is normal blood pressure.
the symptoms you are experiencing may due to some other reason.
I will advise you to consult local physician and take his opinion.
take care and get well soon.
I find this answer helpful
