Burning Sensation While Urinating, Cough, Swelling On Face, Fluctuating Body Temperature, Decreased Platelets. Any Correlation ?
Hi..... My age is 65 years. I am a women. I am suffering from burning sensation while passing urine. Also I am suffering from cough , swelling on face, frequent rise and fall in temperature. After doing clinical investigation it is found that my ESR is increased and my platelet count is decreased. Please suggest me what are those things to correlate with???????
Hello Thanks for your query.Based on the facts that you have posted it appears that you have fluctuating fever ,burning urination and swelling of the face. All these symptoms are suggesting acute infection of urinary system mainly Glomerulonephritis. Please consult qualified Nephrologist for clinical evaluation and investigations to confirm the diagnosis. You may need to get following investigations done to establish the diagnosis. 1) Routine urine test with urine culture. 2) Complete Haemogram . Dr.Patil. 3) Renal function tests.to assess kidney function. 4) Ultrasound scanning of the abdomen.
