Burning Face After Putting Water. What Should I Do?

I've been traveling across the country with my job as a traveling chef. I cook on a food truck where their is grease popping at u and the temperatures being very hot. My face started burning when I would put water on it. I would have to cool myself off with a cold towel. I use the mens Vaseline lotion. What should I do?

Hello,
Welcome to healthcaremagic.
From your query i understood that that you are suffering from Heat stress in your working environment.
You may also experience the following symptoms.
1.Increased irritability
2. Loss of concentration
3. Loss of efficiency in skilled tasks
4. water and electrolyte imbalance and loss
5. Heavy load on heart
6. Fatigue and exhaustion
Heat exposure may cause.
Heat edema- swelling of ankles and other areas
Heat rashes- skin rashes due to hot climate or Prickly heat
Heat cramps- heat induced muscle cramps in legs
Heat exhaustion - due to excessive sweating and muscle weakness
Heat syncope - dizziness due to heat
Heat stroke and hyperpyrexia- partial or complete loss of consciousness due to very high temperature.

you can avoid these symptoms by taking plenty of cool water, electrolytes, sport drinks, rest in between work, avoidance of alcohol etc.

Washing with cool water does not harm you. it help in reducing the heat.
I think Vaseline lotion may not be helpful.

Hope this helps.
Take care.
