Bump On Arm, Pains, Hurts To Touch, Swollen, No Bruising

Hi I whent sailing on the weekend and I fell out the boat several times. Arm started acking afterwards and a bump has appeared on my lower arm just below my wrist . It hurts to move my thumb and twist my wrist also hurts to touch swollen area. I’m not in a lot of pain but it is causing me discomfort. although there was a stage wewre it realy did hurt to grip my hand . There’s no bruising. So I’m just wondering if it maybe any more than just a pulled muscle . I don’t remember banging it but it did hurt after sailing although the water was quiet cold so I may of not noticed.

Orthopaedic Surgeon 's  Response
Hello.
Thanks for writing to us.
From your description, a bony injury is a strong possibility. It may also happen due to a tendon injury. To detect the extent of injury you have suffered, MRI of the affected area is the best investigation. You need to immobilize your hand till then using a good splintage.
I hope this information has been both informative and helpful for you.
