Hi Doctor.. I am 27 years old married female. I have been diagonised with Bronchitus Architis. As my father also is an asthmatic since many years. Hence most of the time I face wheezing .. breakthless ness and congestion in lungs.. If I take Montec LC on regular basics i feel ok.. Is that good to take this medicine daily??? What are the side effects.
Allergic Brochitis can run in families. There is treatment for the episodes and for preventing the episodes. There is no complete cure.
So it is important to avoid all the allergy triggers which cause inconvenience and wheezing. You can continue on the Monteleukast for long time. It is a safe drug but it should be prescribed by the doctor on a regular basis after testing. It cannot be bought in bulk and keep taking for life long. It requires a tleast once in 3 month follow up with the doctor.
