Breastfed Baby Has Hives On Limbs And Face. Allergic To Something?

I have a 3 month old exclusively breastfed infant who has been breaking out with hives on her arms legs and face intermittently for several weeks. i have eliminated dairy and soy from my diet for over a week now. the hives have seemed to dissipate some and are fewer but still present each day. However today she has exhibited a larger outbreak on her leg. I understand that it can take time for dairy to leave my and teh babys systems. However, Should i expect to see large outbreaks like this before things get better? Or is it likely that the dairy is not the culprit and she is allergic to something else
