Blood Clots History. Pain In Leg Moved From Calf To Inner Thigh. Redness From Knee To Groin
49 years old. Male. I have a history of blood clots. I have factor 5 lyden. I had a DVT and a PE 3 years ago. Recently my other leg (Non DVT) began bothering me in the calf. The pain has moved from my calf to my inner thy. There apears to be just a slight redness from my kneee to my groin. Elevating the leg makes it better. It has been bothering me for about 3 days. The calf bothered me for aboth 2.5 weeks prior to the pain moving to my inner thy. Pain level is a 4 on a scale of 10 being the worst. I had an upper and lower GI last Friday. I had a ultrasound on the calf 3 weeks ago and they found nothing.
The type of pain, position, character you are describing is more suggestive of DVT, Moreover you are a high risk candidate for developing it.
I would like to know that , are you on any anti-coagulants. Because if you are on there are less chances that you have developed DVT, unless you are not taking appropriate doses. Warfarin by itself can cause skin problems. Another differential could be Cellulitis. That a doctor can easily rule out by physical examination.
I strongly suggest you to see a doctor soon and get Doppler of your lower limb.
All the Best
