Hello,
Your symptoms could be because of anal fissure or even haemorrhoids. Both these conditions almost mimic each other in their symptoms and treatment observation treatments but are entirely different entity.
You must consult a surgeon for the examination and diagnosis.
Normally conservative treatments like keeping your stool soft, applying local lidocaine ointment like ANOBLISS,taking plenty of water, fruits and green vegetables and hot SITZ bath should make a person all right. However in cases which don't become allright with conservative treatment require surgery.
In my opinion you should try conservative methods after consulting a surgeon.
Surgery can be performed any time once conservative approach fails
Thanks

Welcome to HCM!

Yes, for another few days we can try conservative management.
Apply lignocaine gel locally, 4 times in a day and also before & after
passing stools.
Continue your stool softener. You may increase its dose, if stools are still hard, with your doctor's opinion.
Take high fibre diet, green leafy vegetables.
Drink plenty of water.
Do CBC, correct Hb, if deranged.
Take antibiotics if needed as per report with your doctor's opinion.
Wish you a speedy recovery.
Take care.
Regards.
