Baby Teething, Have Fever, Strep. On Antibiotic. What Could Be The Cause For The Temperature?

10 months baby boy, teething , strep and 106.9 fibers. Dr. did not believe me about the temp. I gave him a warm bad and Motrin by the time I took him to the ER the temp was 104, Dr. toll me that was impossible that the baby had 106.9 Why do you think he has that tem, he was on antibiotic for 24 hrs.

Pediatrician 's  Response
Hi,

Thanks for writing to health care magic.

If a baby has that temperature then he should be admitted for observation and further investigations.

Is your baby active or not?
Is he feeding normally or not?
Intravenous antibiotics suspecting sepsis should be given after sending investigations.

Continue to ask further queries as required.
Hope this helps.
Take care.
