Are Small Blisters On Tongue Contagious?

My daughter has blisters on the sides of her tongue . I took her to the doctor and he said it was viral . To rinse with myLanta . It was an itis, but I can t remember what it was called . Is she contagious ? She nannies for a 3 month old and the doctor is not in the office anymore tonight

I have gone through your query and can very well understand your concern..

As per your query blisters on the side of the tongue of diagnosed as viral infection it can be Herpes Simplex Virus 1 infection causing Cold Sores..

A viral infection causing blisters is contagious and can transfer from one infected individual to a healthy individual via direct contact or through other things like towels, glasses etc..

In case of virus myLanta will not help as it is an antacid and you need to take Antiviral Medication like Acyclovir therapy for prevention of recurring outburst..
