Are Painful Sores In The Vagina A Symptom Of Herpes?

I have painful yellow sores inside my vagina and painful sores outside of it i had a crack in the corner of my mouth. It burns to pee it’s very irritated down there and it’s red. They hurt 24/7 it’s like i can’t forget it’s there. I thought it was a yeast infection but could it be herpes

Yes, painful genital sores could be due to herpes simplex virus infection (HSV Type 2). It is an STD. The sores in genital herpes are multiple, grouped, superficial, round to oval erosion which may coalesce together to form polycyclic lesions. There may be considerable pelvic pain and swelling. Associated symptoms include burning on passing urine and swollen lymph glands. I suggest you to visit a doctor for a confirmatory diagnosis.
