Are Nausea And Loss Of Appetite Signs Of Near Death For Old Man?

Hello, is Nausea and Not eating is a sign of Near Death for an old man of 75 Years old. The patient is sufferring from Cronic Diabetes for last 40 years. he is not able to walk for last 2 years. He lost his both the eyes due to diabeties 10 years back. Now he has stopped eating food for last 10 days and into saline drip. He is having slight fever for last 2 days. Whenever he is speaking, he is not willing to live any more. He is not able to move hi body and loosing his weigth. Not willing to take any medicines. Please let me know is he nearing death?

With such advanced disease patients looses hope and loss of hope is the main cause behind such symptoms. Main thing that can be done to improve complaints is to motivate him. If he gets motivated then he will take interest in eating and working out.
