General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

I would like to ask you some questions:

1. Since when this is present?
2. Is there diarrhea, abdominal pain ?
3. Is there muscle aches, swollen glands ?
4. Is there any skin rash, anywhere?

I would like to suggest some tests:
1. Complete blood count
2. Liver function tests
3. Test for nucleic acid (Hepatitis Virus DNA/RNA) and antibodies.
4. HIV RNA and p24 test

I would like to make you understand that, in this case, there is a little difficulty to determine whether any thing is really there or not. I will go step by step.

May be we can find nothing but I will try to find every possibility. There are many tests to do but it will be burden for him and you to do all at once. Thus, I gave these much now and after seeing the result, we can again decide what to do next.

I emphasize not to worry. There are ample of treatments and we have many possibilities even if anything is found. With the answers and results of the tests, please post another question. Wish your husband a good health!

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Dipan Samanta,
