Are Low Platelet Counts A Cause For Concern?

My doctor left a voice message saying a recent routine checkup showed I have a low-normal platelet count and he wants to run the test again. I don t know what that means, and I won t be able to ask him until after the holiday. I m 70 and otherwise storng and healthy, but for the past couple of months I ve been getting more easily fatigued than normal. Should a low-normal platelet count concern me? Thanks!
