Are Irritability And Anger Symptoms Of Bipolar Disorder?

I have been diagnosed bipolar but I believe it to be some mood disorder. On lithium I am negative irritable and angered. Of of a the med, I can snap into rage out of nowhere at the simplist thing and both on meds and I am able to recognize I was wrong but have a hard time believing I m truly bipolar.

Hello and welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

If you are diagnosed with bipolar disorder you are suffering with depression & mania. However, take regular medications your doctor has advised. Stay relaxed, take plenty of sleep & let not anxiety overtake you. Continue to visit your therapist & have patience while you get treated. Avoid alcohol & drugs. Lifestyle changes & eating healthy food is recommended.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
