Are Immobility In The Legs And Body Tremors Symptoms Of Alcohol Poisoning?

A few months back I was at a party, I drank a lot very quickly and got drunk very quickly, I very soon started losing the ability to walk without help, and then began shaking violently, I felt like I kept trying to throw up but couldn’t, and soon had a seizure. I didn’t go to a hospital nor was any ambulance called but did I have alcohol poisoning?

Hi,

Cannot say in your particular case, but generally, seizures with alcohol would be a serious sign. This can occur from electrolyte abnormalities or direct toxicity of the alcohol on the brain (alcohol poisoning). It could also be something IN the alcohol.

These usually have some damage to the liver also. The liver grows back better than the brain so there might not be any sign of the toxicity on the liver anymore and it would be certainly a reason not to drink and seizures one time make the brain far far more susceptible to damage/seizures with further even milder drinking.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
