Are Fluctuating Body Temperature While Having Hypertension A Cause For Concern?

Presented with a fever yesterday at around seven (102) shivering uncontrollably. It dropped to 100, but has since and is currently at 103. I m 57 have diabetes insulin dependent, Weigh 340 lbs and have hypertension. Last time I check i was 164/56. Should I go to hospital?

I really appreciate your concern, the first possibility could be viral infection as long as the fever is concern, high grade fever can be managed with anti-pyretic and best medicine is Acetaminophen 500 mg as per needed orally, you need to be patience till few days if the symptoms persist then better to get done the routine blood test and urine test to rule out other infection beside the viral infection hope this information helps.
