Are Canker Sores Are Painful And Can It Be On Only One Side Of The Mouth?
Can you have a torus on only one side of your mouth? I have what I think is one on the tongue side of the gum on my left lower jaw next to my second to the last tooth. This is very painful. Are they often painful?
My dentist said he thought I had a canker sore. But those don't usually feel bony, do they?

The type of lesion you are mentioning that it is hard and painful,it can be any infection of gums or tooth also, as canker sores are not hard.
So it will be better that you get an x-ray done of that area which will clear your doubts.
