Hallow Dear, Your girlfriend had taken MTP kit with doctor s advice, then she aborted and 15 days later the ultrasonography has revealed that no products are remaining inside the uterine cavity. So, the abortion is complete. Vaginal bleeding cannot be attributed to incomplete abortion. The other conditions that can cause such bleeding are: 1. Post-abortal infection: This seems to be the most probable cause. Along with, the urinary system also seems to be involved resulting into burning urination. She may be having some fever also. Please get her urine examined. If it shows any evidence of infection, please submit the urine for culture and sensitivity test which will identify the causative organisms and the antibiotics to which they are sensitive. Accordingly appropriate antibiotics can be started. 2. Choriocarcinoma: This is a cancer of the chorionic tissue (which is the precursor of future placenta). Sometimes this tissue undergoes cancerous changes after abortion or delivery. This condition does lead to alarming bleeding. Please repeat the pregnancy test, ideally Beta hCG test on the serum. If hCG is raised considerably or pregnancy test is positive, it suggests Choriocarcinoma. This cancer can be completely cured by medicines like Methotrexate if diagnosed and treatment started in time. Either of these conditions may lead to severe head ache when the lesion has reached to head or when there is substantial blood loss. Please do not waste time.
