Am I Having Allergies From Tattoo?

I Had some ink done in February of this year, took care of it as usual (I have other tattoos) before this new one. Early march I started to itch a bit not all over the tattoo though, lightly around the back but nothing more. The itch was more prominent around my collar bone and knee and would show like a red mark, not a prominent mark until after I had scratched it a bit. Any ideas as to what is going on? If I was allergic to tattoos wouldnt I have broken out from my 7 I had before this one?

Hello,

Your symptoms can be related to an allergy form the ink of the tattoo.

I suggest using an antihistamine such as Cetirizine.

I also suggest using Calamine lotion for local application.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
