Accidentally Cut Leg While Shaving. Hurting While Walking. Chances Of Infection?

Hi. I cut my leg on Thursday while shaving. This was the first time it ever happened. It bled awhile until I put a bandage on it. At first it was not hurting while I walked. It seems like it start to hurting, especially while I walk, after I took the bandage off. Should I go to the emergency room to see a doctor about it? Could I have an infection?

hi there, a superficial cut is usually painful as the cuteneous nerves are very sensitive to pain. If the cut area is looking inflamed or red or any pus formation is seen around it then there are chances of an infection and you may need to visit a doctor. Otherwise if it is looking healthy then do not worry just clean it regularly with antiseptic solution and apply a bandaid for afew days till the wound closes. If you have received your TTboosters in the last two years then its ok otherwise you will need to take a booster shot. You might take a painkiller to decrease the pain. Take care.
