7 Year Kid, Sore Spots On Pads Of Fingers, Small Blisters, Resembles Burn Marks. What Could Be This?

A few days ago my 7 yr old son began complaining of sore spots on the pads of his fingers. Upon examination, I notice perfect round red spots on a couple fingers of his right hand- in the exact spot where u would take a fingerprint. Today, I noticed that he has one of theses spots on each of his fingertips, but not thumbs. The spots resemble burn marks, as if he had laid his fingers flat against a hot surface. They are sore to the touch and a couple of them now have small blisters in the middle- one of which broke open. I was thinking it might be something viral, but he has no other symptoms- no fever or malaise. Any idea what could be causing this? Should I have him examined by a physician?

Hi,
It seems that this might be due to handling of some hot things with his fingers giving rise to burn injury.
It is likely that he might have handled some chemicals and produced chemical irritation.
Apply some antiseptic cream on affected part.
Ok and take care.
