57 Years. Bloating, Difficulty In Passing Stools, Weight Gain. History Of Hysterectomy And Broken Bladder. Very Unhealthy Eating Habits. Advice

Hi I am 57 years old with good metabolism. I have always eaten more than most people and do not eat right, I have had potato chips almost everyday since grade school, I just love them, a few a day or a whole bag, but it has not seemed to ever bother me. One to Two years ago I noticed a bowel change. I used to be afraid of the size of my bowel movements I used to have, usually big, sometimes like a rope, it never smelled and seemed to happened often after eating once a day. but always it seemed what went in went out. Well all of a sudden my stomach bloated and I hardly poop at all. I started just 2 weeks ago with generic prilosec and now at least I poop everyday and it seems better but still not like it was. i had a hysterectomy due to a tumor through my uterine wall when i was 30 ish but still have my ovaries. i broke my bladder in 81 in a car accident and had exploratory surgery i now weigh 172 and I am 5' 5 and 1/2" My highest weight before thiswas 155. and i am 57 is it because i am older and i do eat a lot and little fiber mind you, and no fruit at all
i just know lots of people get heavy when they age and i was wondering is that why my body is growing in the middle i do not exercise either I was wondering what u think I think I look this in my arms and legs but my middle is big. Thank u so much in wyoming

Dear user ,
thank you for reaching out for an advice . its a great thing that you are able to have an insight regarding your weight issue and eating habits. well i think you will feel much much better with slight modifications done to your life style , add some exercise , fast walking for 30 minutes per day , eat fruits and veggies more often , those modifications would help you control you weight more , reduce your belly , help with your stool problem , and will keep your body healthier . potato chips , try to avoid eating alot of potato chips changing a life long habit is not as easy as writing it but trying to do so will help you later on .
please rate if you find helpful .
Best regards,
Dr. Ahmad
