3 Year Old Child, Watery Vomit Containing Phlegm, Smelly Stools, Mucus. Domstal Syrup Given. Treatment?
Hello Dr. My son, aged 3yrs. Morning he woke up to vomit, which consists of only water and slight phlegm. Again after half an hour he vomitted - water with slight phelgm. After sometime he passed stools which was quite smelly and lot of mucous in the stools. He refused to eat anything. He had some water and again vomitted. He then had a slice of bread which he vomitted. He again passed stools which was watery, smelly and had mucous.
Similar symptom was there a few days back & I gave him 3.5ml Domstal syrup. So vomitting stopped. Again after 4 days he is expriencing similar problem. What can be the reason and what food and medicine do I need to give him. He has a twin sister, however she has no such complaints at all.

Give sips of oral rehydration fluids such as Pedialyte, coconut water, and lemon water.
Monitor his hydration status by activity, urine output, and skin turgor.
