3 Year Old, Acidity, Strong Odor In Urine. Has Asthma, Had Heat Strokes. Family Member Has Pancreatic Cancer. Advice?

My 3 year old has been experiencing very bad gas for over 3 weeks...it smells like something rotten or sulphur. No change in diet. I've also noticed his urine has a stronger odor as well. Today he has red circles under his eyes (these may or may not be related) Other health problems are mild asthma. He gets sick often with upper respiratory infections and had Rsv at the age of 2. He also had a very bad heat stroke at the age of two but has no side effects as far as we know. Again I dont know it any are related but it might help. What could cause the horrible gas? It concerns me very much because I had family members with that same gas issue and one was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer during that time and the other had kidney issues.

Hi,
Thank you for your query on Healthcare Magic.
Don't worry to much about the child gas problem.
The most common cause in children for gas problem is altered gut function due to some infection with a virus or bacteria.
It can be treated with drugs like Neopeptine or carmicide which will decrease the gas problem.
Consult the pediatrician for examination and for prescription f medication.
Hope I have answered your query.
Regards.

Hello,

Thanks for posting on HCM,

Usually bad gas comes as a result of poor digestion or indigestion which could have come as a result of gut infection probably due to bacteria, fungi, parasitic infections etc. Your child will require a stool exams and blood tests. Some specific food intolerance might also be the culprits (mostly food containing fructose or some other sugars). Your child is still too young to be able to suffer from pancreatic cancer so that should be ruled out.
In her age, it is mostly problem related to food and how it is digested. Poor digestion results to release of gas after fermentation. Same goes for urine. He should reduce his protein protein and fat intake then increase vegetables and fruits intake. He should also drink much fluids.
If this continuous you will need to see a pediatrician.

Hope this helps
