21 Years Old, Measured Blood Pressure, Only Meat Diet, No Intake Of Vegetables. High BP Patient?

hi doc,I m XXXX 21 yrs old and my bp is 130/90 is it bad with my age?With my blood pressure ,should I consider myself as high blood person or it was just triggered with the foods that I ate this few days?I only ate pork,beef and shrimps without eating any veggie with my meal for the past 6 days.Please help me doc,I m a bit worried now.

Hi joy

The BP at your age should be in the range of 100- 120 / 70 - 80 . Hence considering this range your BP is slightly high . But then there could be lots of causes for ur high BP .

It could be because your were stressed at the time your BP was recorded . Physical or mental stress .

Hence its necessary to know if your BP was intermitently high , which is normal in all individuals .

To differentiate you need to get your BP tested twice a day for atleast 3 days and record it on a sheet of paper .

also very important is you have to sit down and relax for at least 15 - 20 mins before your BP is checked .

If your BP remains consistently high then you will need a thorough evaluation by a physician to find out the exact cause
