10 Weeks Pregnant, Spotting. Taking Diabex Xr For Insulin Resistance. Normal Ultrasound. Advice?

I am 10 weeks pregnant and keep spotting. I take diabex xr for insulin resistance and was told to keep on the same dose but I've now been told it can cause spotting. I've had a dating ultrasound at 6 weeks and all is well. 2 weeks ago went to hospital when spotting first started but hormone levels ok and on in place. Any advice?

Hi,
Thanks for writing to us.
You should consult an expert gynaecologist opinion to take hormonal support for spotting or not otherwise if your baby is fine, You do not worry.
Take folic acid, healthy diet, proper rest and your medication.
Please regular in check-ups with your gynaecologist.
Good luck.
Safe and happy motherhood.
Regards
Dr. Richa
