Question: my son had symptoms of a cold lethargic sore throat congested looking pale but his temp has been between 96.3-97.5 since yesterday. he says the thermometer is broken cuz he doesnt feel cold but this morning after eating said his hands felt cold .

I read your query and here is my advice.

I don't think you have to worry much about body temperature 96.3- 97.5 F° . This doesn't show any health problem and is quite normal body temperature.
The signs of sorethroat and congestion may be related to flu or common cold.
If you think that thermometer is broken you can buy another one . He can have cold hands but elevated body temperature and if he is having flu or common cold you may need a thermometer to check his body temperature.

he says that sometimes he will check his temperture when he isnt sick and its 96 or 97 thats normal? i didnt say i think the thermometer is broken i think its fine hes saying that becuase he doesnt feel cold . its rare for him to have a cold without a fever so i was concerned
