Brief Answer:
Tests are HbA1c and fasting insulin....

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

I have gone through your query and here is my advice.

Diabetes mellitus may be due to insulin resistance i e secreted insulin is not used to reduce blood sugar level.

Other associated risk factors may be obesity, physical inactivity, family history. These factors causes insulin resistance.

Other reason for diabetes may be less amount of insulin is secreted by Pancreas. It is most likely seen in children.

For further assessment I would suggest you to do HbA1c i. e. Three months average sugar and fasting insulin level after diabetologist consultation.

Along with that, try to reduce weight. Take low carb diet and regular exercise. Take more vegetables and fruits in diet. Continue anti diabetic medications as adviced.

Hope I have answered your query and let me know if I can assist you further.
Note: For further follow-up, discuss your blood glucose reports with our diabetologist. Click here.
