Brief Answer:
Bleeding from operative site in vagina

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

I understand your concerns.

Following is my reply:

1) After hysterectomy, vaginal vault closure is done. Meaning , the opening created in vagina during surgery is repaired.

2) This repaired wound takes sometime to heal which is around 3 months.

3) Sometimes deep penetrative sex causes wound to open up partially or minor abrasions leading to bleeding.

4) Hence I suggest you avoid sexual intercourse another 3 months. As of now there is no need to panic.

Let me know if you need anymore help.

Regards
