Question: have a red bump inside labia minora. came up after using a hair removal cream. didnt notice it until I wiped and got some bright red blood. it doesnt hurt unless touched and doesnt itch or tingle. I just started doing warm compresses on it. looks like a cyst that has burst already. Doesnt look like a wart or herpes lesion. also flattens out after pulling skin taut. i think the hair removal cream got on my labia minora and caused irritation and bump came up. what does this look like to you?

Brief Answer:
Bartholin cyst seen in picture.

Detailed Answer:
Hello dear, welcome to Ask a doctor service.
I read your query and here is my advice.
I see the picture you upload. It is a bartholin cyst.
It is formed by the blockage of the duct of bartholin gland normally found in labia minora.
It doesn't seem infected and it doesn't hurt.
I recommend you to do warm baths several times a day for 3-4 days.
If it doesn't get better in 4 days but becomes bigger and infected you should go to doctor to do an incision and drain it.
Also if it gets infected antibiotics may be needed.

Hope I have answered the question.
Let me know if I can assist you further.

Brief Answer:
It seems like Bartholin cyst only dear.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

I see the picture and most probably it is a Bartholin cyst. It is in inner labia where Bartholin cysts are normally found. It is close enough to the vaginal opening.

Let me know if I can assist you further.

Do warm baths for some more days.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again.

I suggest you do warm baths several times a day for 3-4 days.
If it still doesn't get better you should go to gynaecological for an incision to drain it.
Try baths for some more days.
Maybe it drained some of the content but not fully.

Are you sure? this isnt looking congruent with the other pictures online of bartholin%E2%80%99s cysts. Its not near my vaginal opening it is on the upper right labia minora. it isnt super deep and doesnt feel like any fluid is present. if I have gotten some depilatory cream on my labia minora could this happen?

Brief Answer:
Absolutely sure, it is a bartholin cyst.

Detailed Answer:
Hello again. I am absolutely sure it is a bartholin cyst even though it doesn't look like pictures online. I have seen many cases like this in my clinic.
Doesn't need anything more than warm baths.
There is nothing to worry about.
