Question: why do i get hot flashes with my parkinsons.

I have parkinsons. I have started to get hot flashes just like when i went thru menopause. However i have been thru menopause for years now. My neurologist says if you got them with menopause you can get them the rest of your life. But then why did they stop and then start again. Could it also have anything to do with anxities? I am under a lot of stress right now.Sometimes it gets difficult to get my breath.

Why does it take so long to answer a question after youve been paid to answer it.

Brief Answer:
Probably the hot flashes are caused by anxiety.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

I read carefully your query and understand your concern.
Hot flashes are a common symptom of anxiety and stress.
If you are under a period of stress I think that this might be the reason of your symptom.

Some advice that I can give to you are :
-limit the caffeine intake and smoking of you already smoke
-Try to get between 1 and 3 grams of omega-3s a day.
-try chamomile tea to reduce anxiety
-exercise regularly
-you can try sports like meditation and joga to help with stress management
-get enough rest

Hope my answer was helpful.
If you have any other questions feel free to contact me again.
Kind regards!
