Brief Answer:
There is no test as such.

Detailed Answer:

Hello,

The problem in treating a patient of visceral sensitivity is that its an organic syndrome and is still under research. Not much is given about it in books and other literature hence pain management of visceral pain is particularly problematic.
As such there is no specific test for its diagnosis however patient is treated symptomatically.

If gabapentin is not helping then start taking Pregabalin 75 mg twice daily. It is a better variant of Gabapentin.
Take Paroxetine(SSRI) 50 mg once daily dose.
As hyperstimulation of nerves can be a cause of it you can also take a anxiolytic like Xanax or clonazepam in low doses.

Hope I provided you with some information.
If you have specific queries follow up.
Thanks.

I just saw at Mayo Clinic Web site that they sometimes do a balloon test. Any thoughts?

Follow up answer.

Detailed Answer:

Hi,

Sensitivity and specificity of these tests are quite low. You can go for it but if you want you can go for it however s told by me earlier treatment would be symptomatic and drugs would be used as per your symptoms.
