Brief Answer:
DETAILS ARE GIVEN BELOW.

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thanks for writing to us. Followings are my comments:

1) DUPHASTON (Dydrogesterone) is a progesterone supplement. It helps to prevent early miscarriage and support healthy pregnancy to some extent. It DOESN'T cause any harmful effect to your growing baby.

2) METRONIDAZOLE is the DRUG of choice for the treatment of Trichomoniasis. It is Pregnancy Category -B and can cross placenta barrier easily. However, NO feto-toxicity is observed when it is administered orally within therapeutic dose.

3) Trichomoniasis infection during pregnancy is associated with a higher risk of preterm birth, Premature Rupture Of the Membranes (PROM), low-birth-weight baby etc.

I suggest you to undergo periodic check up to your doctor with Ultrasound scan. Take healthy protein added diet and maintain genital hygiene properly.

Hope, it helps for your information. Kindly, close the discussion if you don't have any other query.

Wish your good health and successful motherhood.

Regards,
Dr S Patra
