Brief Answer:
Androgenetic alopecia

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Welcome to healthcare magic forum.

I understand from your query that you are having thinning of hair.

I have seen the picture that you have uploaded.

You seem to have thinning mainly confined to the center of your scalp called as vertex.

This is characteristic of androgenetic alopecia. This is a hereditary type of hair loss in which the hairs gradually recede backwards from the sides of your forehead as well as slowly lose density from the top portion of your scalp.

You could follow the following suggestions-

1. Use a mild shampoo like Tricleanz to wash your hair.

2. Take a supplement containing biotin, cysteine, methionine and saw palmetto ( e.g- Keraglo men) to strengthen the roots and also to arrest further hair fall. Take 1 tablet a day after meals.

3. Diet should be rich in protein and biotin. You could take dal, pulses, eggs, etc which are rich in protein. Biotin rich foods are carrots, almonds, walnut, cucumber, cauliflower, milk and eggs.

4. Try to cut down stress levels by practicing yoga/ meditation.

5. You could use a solution containing 5 % Minoxidil on the top of your scalp where the hairs have thinned out. Use 1 ml at bedtime. This will preserve the hairs which are currently present and will also slowly stimulate new hair growth.

Hope this helps you.

If you have any more queries, I will be glad to answer.

Brief Answer:
Minoxidil 5%

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

There are several brands of Minoxidil like Mintop forte, Regain solution, Minokem solution, etc by different companies. You can buy any one of them. However, this has to got only with a dermatologist's prescription.

Also rmemeber that this type of hair fall requires follow up with a dermatologist. Do consult a good dermatologist in your place and follow up regularly to get the best response.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.

Brief Answer:
Thyroid and hair loss

Detailed Answer:
Hello,

Thyroid problem causes generalized hair loss all over the scalp.

In your case, it looks more like Androgenetic alopecia.

However, since you have a family history, you could get a screen test called " TSH" ( Thyroid stimulating hormone) done.

Hope this helps you.

Take care.
