Detailed Answer:
Hello!

Welcome on HCM!

I carefully read your question and would explain that it has been a very long time since the procedure for such a complication. So I don't think that there is any connection between your blood in the urine and the procedure of AF ablation.

The catheter in the groin area is not related to these symptoms.

I would explain that it is true that an urinary infection or irritation of the urinary tract can happen after this procedure, because of the urinary cathether placed during the procedure. But this does not happen 9 months after this procedure.

Are you taking any anticoagulation therapy? This could be related to anticoagulation therapy.

If not, I would recommend performing further tests to investigate for the possible cause:

- an abdominal ultrasound to examine the urinary tract
- kidney function tests
- a complete blood count for anemia
- coagulation tests

Further tests may be needed to establish the possible causes.

Hope to have been helpful!

Kind regards,

Dr. Iliri
