Brief Answer:
Its a normal value.

Detailed Answer:
Hello, Sir.

I understand your concern.

The internal os is part of the cervix, which forms the neck of the uterus in a female's reproductive system.

The usual cervical length before 36 completed weeks is under 7-8 mm.

Once 1 st stage of labour sets in with pain the internal OS begins to dilate to 3-5 cms.

In every scan it is always worth to mention the size of the internal os mainly to rule out a condition called Incompetence of OS which is nothing but sudden dilatation(expansion) of the OS diameter first detected between 13-24 weeks , If this size exceeds 2.5 cms then possibility of early labour and occasionally abortion. If detected at this stage appropriate intervention can be carried out to prevent such complications.

Hence in your case have there is normal diameter of cervix /internal os at 31 weeks. You need not worry about it. It's normal.

To Conclude-
You have normal scan pregnancy parameters.

Post your further queries if any.
Thank you.
