Brief Answer:
Antibiotics to which bacteria is sensitive(reported as "S") can be started

Detailed Answer:
Hello. Thank you for writing to us at healthcaremagic

I have gone through your query and I have also reviewed the attachments.

The pus culture report has revealed a heavy growth of bacterium, staph. aureus.

The isolated bacteria is resistant (reported as "R") to penicillin group of drugs e.g Penicillin and Ampicillin though not to Amoxycillin+Clavulanic acid combination i.e Amoxyclav (Amoxycillin also belongs to penicillin group but addition of clavulanic acid to it prevents bacterial resistance).
The bacterium is also resistant (reported as "R") to Erythromycin, which belongs to a Macrolide group.

Therefore the infection that you carry would not respond to these two group of antibiotics i.e Penicillins and Macrolide group.

Apart from these two group of antibiotics mentioned above, the isolated bacterium is sensitive (reported as "S") to Quinolones e.g Ciprofloxacin, Ofloxacin; Tetracyclines e.g Doxycycline, Minocycline; Cephalosporins e.g Cefoxitin; Aminoglycosides e.g Gentamicin; Suphonamides e.g trimethoprim/sulphamethoxazole.

Either of the antibiotics from these latter groups (reported as "S") would be sufficient to get rid of the infection.
