Brief Answer:
Additional tests are needed.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted the clinical details and nerve conduction reports of your father. He has neuropathy, where the nerves of legs and hands are damaged. Further tests are needed to determine the exact cause of neuropathy. If it is diabetic neuropathy, then, there is no specific therapy. On the other hand, if the cause is vasculitis or CIDP (chronic inflammatory demyelinating neuropathy, then, immunotherapy with steroids or IVIG would help.

Further tests such as lumbar puncture and nerve biopsy would help in confirming the diagnosis.

Best wishes,
Dr Sudhir Kumar MD DM (Neurology)
