Question: I had a CT scan of my neck which came back fine. But, ive been having weird shoulder pains/discomfort. I happened to get the film from my scan and on the scout image there is clearly something on my right side that is not on my left. A circular looking thing that is really making me worried. Wonder if you can tell what it may be.

Hello,
Thanks for writing to HCM,
I've gone through your query and understand your concern,

There is no need to be worried about circular part in image. It is a normal structure.
It is called as coracoid process.
This is also present in left side but is not properly visualized due to slight rotation of body.
Findings are normal.

Shoulder pain may be due to many causes. It may be due to musculoskeletal causes.
Further investigations like ultrasound,MRI may be advised after orthopedic evaluation.

Get well soon.

Hope I have answered your query.
