Detailed Answer:
Hello Dear XXXXXXX

Thank you for posting your query to HCM.

I read and understand your query, I am Dr Arun Tank, Infectious Diseases specialist answering your query.

The root cause of your cystitis (UTI- Urinary Tract Infection) is the diabetes.

Because of the diabetes organisms grown in the urinary bladder and causes a infection. It is the reason why the scan is showing that it is a thickening of the bladder.

I suggest you should go for urine culture and sensitivity. Once we avail with the report we can take the appropriate antibiotics as per the report.

In addition to antibiotics maintenance of optimum blood sugar is also a important aspect to keep the infection in control. So please maintain good blood sugar.

Drinking plenty of water can flush the bacteria from the urinary system and can help you cure rapidly. Maintain strict local hygiene at genital area, it also helps in keeping the infection under control.

You can ask me for further clarification here or you can ask me personally at bit.ly/DrArun.

Thank you,
