What Does Stiff Neck Along With Anxiety Indicate?

default
Posted on Mon, 25 Sep 2017
Question: I swear. if it isnt one thing, its another with me. I have had a gnawning pinching on the right side of my head off and on for like 2 weeks now. Its not your typical headache. Its like a small pinching that barely hurts. Probably at a 2 on a scale from 1-10 with 10 being the most hurtful. occasionally, i feel the same pinching on the left side of my head. I just had a CT scan around 8 months ago due to pain in the back of my head that wouldnt go away. Everything came back good. My anxiety gets the best of me and i think the worse i.e tumor, aneyrism etc. WHat could this be? Would should i look at for? should i go to the emergecny room? I have no other symptms other then a mild stiff neck on the right side.

Brief Answer:
Take treatment as advised

Detailed Answer:
Hello,
I have gone through your question and understand your concern.
The headache seems to be tension type headache.
If CT head is normal then nothing serious.
Anxiety can be reduced by lifestyle modifications, relaxation exercises and yoga.
Drugs like amitriptyline, clonazepam or duloxetine can be used under prescription by a neurologist.
Occasional pain can be controlled by pain killers like aceclofenac or diclofenac or naproxen.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
