What Does Positive UPT After Having Mifegest Kit Indicate?

Question: My wife had bleeding for 5 days after consuming mifegest kit, but the urine test was positive.what does that mean and what should we do next? The bleeding was not veru heavy.

Thanks for the query

If your wife has bled for 5 days and the urine test is still positive then it means that there are still products of conception still left over in the uterus. I strongly recommend that you get a ultrasound of the pelvis done, if you find retained products then it has to be removed through dilatation and curretage.

Thanks for getting back

Urine test will be positive for 3-5 weeks due to hormonal changes . Sometimes what happens is there are some parts of pregnancy still retained in the uterus which gives positive urine test.
Usg can be done after some days to know weather miscarriage completed or not, however watch out of pain, excessive bleeding and fever
