Posted on Fri, 17 Apr 2015
Question: I recently had testing done for Lipid Panel with LDL/HDL Ratio, Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP 14) and would like to have the results reviewed and recommendations made. I have been on Fenofibrate 200mg and Crestor 10mg for over a year. I have lost 30 lbs and would like to reduce the medication I would be taking if possible.

Brief Answer:
I would recommend to stop fenofibrate and to continue crestor 10 mg...

Detailed Answer:
Hi XXXX and thank you for asking!
I read your query and understood your concerns.

After reviewing your lipid panel I can confirm that your trigliceride, LDL and HDL cholesterol levels are normal. There's only a slightly elevated cholesterol levels.

If you were my patient I would recommend to stop fenofibrate and to continue with diet and healthy life style, together with crestor 10 mg.

More over I would suggest to repeat lipid profile after three months to see the results.

Hope this was of help!
