Brief Answer:
Current treatment is correct.

Detailed Answer:
Hi,

Thank you for posting your query.

Disc bulge and nerve root compression often occurs due to lifestyle factors, such as prolonged sitting, desk job, more driving, lack of exercises, overweight, etc. Also, genetic factors too play a role.

Initial treatment is with medications as advised and physiotherapy. Physiotherapy includes back extension exercises, IFT, ultrasound, etc.

Also, avoid heavy weight lifting and bending forwards.

I hope my reply has helped you.

I would be pleased to answer, if you have any follow up queries or if you require any further information.

Best wishes,
