Question: Hi Doctor,

About Me:
I am 32 year XXXXXXX
165 cms 93 kgs
Non Vegetarian
Smoking ( 10 per day)
Alcohol ( Heavy twice a week in parties, but quit past four months)
Medications from five years:
1) Inderal 10 mg once daily for mild blood pressure. But BP is always below 120/80 now.
2) Restyl 0.5 mg once daily before dinner.

I feel there is some problem in the head ( kind of giddiness, heaviness and some times mild pain) this problem started two years ago.
I did the following health check ups
1.Heart check
2.Endoscopy
3.Master health check up.
3.CT Scan
All the reports were absolutely normal.

Where in the physician suggested me to go for an ENT check.
I had the Ent check now, I have uploaded the reports.
The doctor had prescribed these medicines for the next two months. I started taking the following past 10 days.
1) Pirapil - 1200 mg (Piracetam) twice daily
2) Bilovas - 40 mg ( Ginkgo Biloba)

I have also seen a psychiatrist. He confirmed me that i am going through anxiety problems.
He prescribed me Bupropion 150mg sr twice daily.(I took only for 15 days) stopped now.

I would like to ask:
1.If there could be any serious problem with my head.
2.will i have to do anymore tests.
3.As i have already done the CT Scan , will there be any use if i go in for a Mri scan.
4.Why do i feel like my symptoms are growing.

I have asked a few questions to other specialists on the same website, Please do check if possible.

Please suggest. I am worried

Detailed Answer:
Hi Mr XXXX,

Thank you for posting your query.

I have noted your symptoms, test results and treatments in detail, and got a clear picture.

First of all, I would like to reassure you that you are not suffering from any serious neurological disease. This is because your CT scan of head is within normal limits.

Also, doing an MRI is more for reassurance, as I do not expect to find any abnormality on the MRI, looking at your symptoms.

Your symptoms seem to be growing, most likely, as you seem to be too concerned or anxious about them.

At this point, you can continue with your current treatment. If you still feel you are getting worse, then, it would be wise to see a neurologist to get a complete clinical neurological examination done. If any abnormality is found, then, you can get MRI of brain done.

I hope my answer helps. Please get back if you have any follow up queries or if you require any additional information.

Wishing you good health,

Brief Answer:
You can continue all medications.

Detailed Answer:
Thank you for getting back.

1. You can take all the current medications and there are no contraindications.

2. Your ear problem is not related to any brain disease.

3. These are normal phenomena due to transmission of nerve impulses from one body part to another and does not suggest any nervous system disease.

4. Anxiety and stress are well known to produce weakness.

Best wishes,
